About Me

I am a native of the Eastern Shore, born in Salisbury, Maryland and raised on a farm in near Delmar, Delaware. I am a graduate of Delmar High School and Goldey-Beacom College, graduating with a General Business degree. I currently reside in Mardela Springs, Maryland with my husband. I have two grown children, and was recently blessed with a granddaughter.

It seems as though I have been associated with the real estate industry most of my adult life. Before becoming a Realtor®, I worked for one of Salisbury’s prominent law firms as a legal secretary. My duties primarily revolved around real estate matters.

Before long, I decided that I should use my knowledge of the Maryland real estate market and take my career to the next level. In 1976, I earned my real estate license. I am now an Associate Broker, licensed as a real estate agent serving both Maryland and Delaware. For many years I have been an active member of the Coastal Association of Realtors®. I have held many leadership positions within the CAR, including numerous positions within the Board of Directors.

Today I have more than 30 years of experience in the listing, buying, and selling of Delaware and Maryland real estate. My assistant, Barbara Patey, has been a part of my success since 2001. We have consistently been a recognized as a top producing team within our Long & Foster office. In 2007, we were voted the Number One team in our Salisbury MD Real Estate office and our region.

In the real estate industry, success is typically measured in the number of transactions that the real estate agent participates in. I really don’t like this definition of success, where you are no better than your recent numbers. I feel that success comes from trust, friendship, repeat business, and the referrals that I receive from family, friends, and past clients. The relationships that are built from your life actions are a much better measure of one’s true successes in life.
